I found Joel on Craigslist almost ten years ago and had him move and assemble an Olhausen pool table for us. We were happy with the experience and always stored his number in my cell phone. Fast forward ten years to today, moving to a new home, but have changed many cell phones and can't find his number and don't remember the name of the company! I find Century Billiards on Craigslist, he has a fair price, and says he can come soon so I setup an appointment with him. When Joel showed up, I recognized him immediately and was happy to do business with him again. Joel had the same assistant from ten years ago, and took down the table, moved it, and assembled it and calibrated everything in no time. I'm glad to have found his company again and highly recommend his work. Careful with your table, as well as your home and possesions.

It's not often I have to use this type of service. In fact, this is the first time I've had a pool table set up in my house. We set up an appointment with Century within days of my calling, on a Saturday no less. Joel and his assistant were prompt in arriving and got everything set up right away. They were careful with our new hardwood floors, using pads and blankets for everything. They were meticulous when it came to setting up the slate (I have a 3-piece slate table), ensuring the bonds were perfect and sanded to an extremely smooth finish. I was amazed at the care they took in every aspect of the installation. For the $250 I ended up paying, it was well worth it. I would definitely use them again in the future.

Joel and his helper were awesome. We bought a pool table at a garage sale but had no way to move it or possibly set it up. Joel worked with the sellers to accommodate their schedule and worked with us to accommodate ours. The move went flawlessly. Joel patiently and carefully set up the table and answered all my dumb questions. He was meticulous in smoothing out the slate table and getting the balance just right and made sure the balls ran smoothly and everything was in good order. We called around and Joel's price was the least expensive to boot. What a great service! I would definitely recommend them and use them again should the need arise.

Very satisfied with the service provided by Century Billiard Service. Saw his ad on Craigslist and contacted Joel. He was right on time, very professional and shared his advice about placement and setup. Also took the time to fix a pool cue with a broken tip just because he noticed it. Spent time to go over maintenance and offered to return free of charge if table leveling after it settles. Highly recommend Joel and crew.

We needed our pool table moved and a new felt put on it. We called Century Billiard Service. The guy that answered the phone was Joel. He sounded knowledgeable and very professional. They came to our house and did a great job. We are very satified and highly recommend them.

I signed up on Yelp so I can review Joel.He helped me set up my pool table. He has good knowledge and an exceptional attitude. He was friendly and careful. He gave me estimate, when he will arrive and how long it will take. And yes he was on time, within estimate and finished within estimated time.I had a great experience. In future any alignment or small work he offered services free of cost.
OMG what can I say but awesome service! I'm a lady who plays some serious pool and so called around to get my table recovered. Not only were they on-time (actually early) Joel did an amazing job and my pool table plays better than ever! Recommend this company and will definitely use him in the future.
Century Billiard Service does great work-so much so I've recommended to my buddy who also was pleased with their work. Joel is amazing, extremely knowledgable and knows his way around a pool table for sure! I found him on Craigslist and saw he was Brunswick trained and certified which caught my attention as I have a Gold Crown III and trusted that he could move it to my vacation home without any problems. I wanted simonis cloth to also be installed at the time of the move and he had all the materials that day. He did it on a Sunday and went beyond what I expected. He was on time, did one hell of a job and my neighbor was so impressed he had Joel come out the following weekend to recover his pool table. This guy is a master mechanic for sure and earns every one of the 5 stars I've rated. If you want great service for what I found to be a good price for all the time it took and what's involved, CALL CENTURY BILLIARD SERVICE -and have Joel do the work - I know I will ONLY use him in the future hands down the best service in the bay area. I called around and you can tell the guys that fake it to get your business to make a quick buck and don't sound very trustworthy or seem to be as knowledgable. Joel's got them beat for sure.....he is honest and does excellent work!
